Our patent attorneys, Masahiro Nanjo, Ayako Seta, and Koichiro Iha, obtained a favorable judgment from the Intellectual Property High Court in litigation relating to invalidation trials against Japanese Patent Nos. 5,705,288 and 5,906,333.

Our patent attorneys, Masahiro Nanjo, Ayako Seta, and Koichiro Iha, represented the petitioners in litigation relating to invalidation trials (Invalidation Trial Nos. 2020-800011 and 2020-800012) against antibody-related patents (Japanese Patent Nos. 5,705,288 and 5,906,333).

The petitioners filed actions to rescind the JPO decisions that had dismissed the invalidation trial requests against the patents (Case Nos. Reiwa 3 (Gyo-Ke) Nos. 10093 and 10094).

As a result, the Intellectual Property High Court rendered judgments rescinding the JPO decisions, holding that the patents are invalid due to a violation of the support requirement (Judgment dated January 26, 2023).
