Our patent attorneys, Masahiro Nanjo, Ayako Seta, and Koichiro Iha, acted on behalf of and assisted the defendant in a damages action before the Tokyo District Court (Case No. Reiwa 2 (Wa) No. 8642) based on antibody-related patents (Japanese Patent Nos. 5,705,288 and 5,906,333).

As a result, the Tokyo District Court dismissed the plaintiff’s claims, finding that the patents are invalid due to violations of the support requirement and the enablement requirement (Judgment dated September 28, 2023).
